The Pew News for the week of Oct 18th is here

Each month at 9.30am at St Peter’s there is a Family Service on the first Sunday and a Family Communion on the third Sunday. On the second and fourth Sundays there is a 9.30am service at St Andrew’s Nether Wallop. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, there is a combined Benefice Communion in one of our parishes. The diary for our Benefice to the end of October is here.

At St Peter’s on Sunday November 1st at 4.00pm there will be a service of commemoration for All Souls. The details are here where you can see how to submit the names of those you would like remembered.

Ever-loving God,
who hear us in our anguish and distress and long for us to be free,
we pray for the people of Iran and the wider Middle East at this time of fear and uncertainty. Be near to those who are anxious; bring comfort to all who are suffering. Guide those with the power to make decisions and lead them in the ways of wisdom, compassion and moderation, that people of goodwill may seek harmony and reconciliation. We join with our Christian brothers and sisters in all places, in praying for peace with justice,
through him who is the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

John Searles was ordained Deacon in Winchester Cathedral on June 28th . He is now an Assistant Curate (self-supporting) in our Benefice. Read more about him on the WhosWho page. John is currently running an ALPHA course as shown here

The Revd John Chitham and his wife Basma are in Bahrain for 2 months (Sept 20 to Nov 18) where John will be covering services at St Christopher’s Cathedral – see https://stchristopherscathedral.org/ . They’d value our prayers for the ministry, for coping with the heat (currently 36C) and for their safety while their son Jack remains at home.

Parishioners are invited to join the ministry team in one of our parishes for morning prayer at 9.00 or 9.15am from Monday to Thursday each week, except during certain holidays and some specific days. The current diary is here.
